More staff shine than ever before at awards ceremony

Congratulations were the order of the day at the Blundells annual award ceremony as Directors, staff and invited guests celebrated the achievements of the company over the last 12 months.

13 awards were presented to recognise our hard working and dedicated staff who contribute so much to making Blundells Sheffield and North Derbyshire's leading estate agent.

There were a record six nominations for the strongly contested Employee of the Year award, with Mary Lindores, who works in the Mortgage Customer Services department, given the coveted title.

Blundells Founder, Mike Blundell was awarded the Valuer of the Year accolade.

Mike, who oversees the Dronfield office, said: "My daughter Hannah won the award last year so I am delighted to be following in her footsteps. I thoroughly enjoy my job after more than 30 years in the property market.

"The last couple of years have certainly being testing and it's a tremendous testament to all the team at Blundells that we are still Sheffield and North Derbyshire's leading estate agents. All I can say is follow the leader!"

This Alison Buxton Individual Mortgage Introducer Award was presented to Yvonne Millington from Crystal Peaks. And 12 long service awards were announced for staff who have worked for the agents for ten and 20 years.

The team at Banner Cross scooped the Branch of the Year award. Director Paul Cocker said: "We are really pleased to have won this award and take the title from the Chapeltown branch, which has won for the past two years.

"We also were awarded the Mortgage Cup which is great news. All staff at the branch have really worked hard and we really deserve this recognition. Hopefully we'll be coming back to reclaim the title next year!"

Other awards presented at the ceremony included Mortgage Consultant of the Year, which was given to Neil Laughlin at the Chesterfield branch. The Accounts department won the Support Services Team of the Year Award, Crystal Peaks branch was given the Conveyancing Lead Branch Award with the Individual Conveyancing Award going to Angela Ashmore.

A Relocation award went to Katherine Thomson and the Survey department won the Professional Services Award. A new award for 'Idea of the Year' was won by Julie Patrick.
