Auction House set to raise the roof in 2010
Sold! Blundells Auction House is ready to host its first auction of 2010, following the massive success of its previous seven auctions last year.
Thirteen lots will be going under the hammer at Sheffield Park Hotel, Chesterfield Road South on Tuesday 23 February.
The auction will feature a varied selection of lots, including student investment properties, renovation projects and a selection of buy-to-let opportunities throughout Sheffield and Chesterfield.
As well as the February auction, five other auctions are planned throughout 2010, in April, June, September, October and December.
Blundells held seven auctions in 2009, achieving an overall sold rate of 93 per cent for the year, with two of the auctions selling 100 per cent of its lots and more than £10 million pounds worth of property exchanging hands.
Lucy Crapper, property auctioneer at Blundells Auction House, said: "The stunning results in our 2009 auctions demonstrate the effectiveness of selling at auction in the current market.
"Last year we sold a variety of lots, from a converted garage in Lodge Moor for £21,000, a period Victorian residence in Nether Edge, which generated more than 60 viewings in four weeks, a derelict Barn in Derbyshire which was featured in the Sunday Times "is it worth it?" section and a plot of land in Whirlow fetching £100,000 above the guide price.
"The team is really looking forward to the six auctions we have planned in for 2010 and hope we will continue to raise the roof!"
